Welcome to Squared Framing. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, communications, enquiries and any products or services we provide.
By accessing our website or engaging with our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
“Squared Framing”, “we”, “us”, “our” – Squared Framing and its authorised representatives.
“Client”, “you”, “your” – Any person or business using this website or engaging our services.
“Services” – Custom framing, conservation framing, repairs/restorations, design consultations, art sourcing, printing, onsite installations, collection/delivery, and related services.
“Website” – www.squaredframing.co.za or any associated digital platform.
Squared Framing provides the following professional services:
Custom bespoke framing
Conservation framing
Repairs and restorations
Custom mirrors
Art sourcing (original fine art and prints)
Print sourcing and production
Onsite consultations, installations, collection & delivery
Wholesale framing for galleries, artists and interior designers
We reserve the right to expand, modify or discontinue services at any time.
3.1 Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise specified.
3.2 All prices are subject to change based on:
Supplier increases
Material availability
Special requests or custom work
Changes made by the client after the quote is approved
3.3 Quotes are estimates. Final pricing may vary if materials or specifications change.
3.4 Squared Framing is not obligated to honour expired quotations.
4.1 Work commences only once the quote has been approved in writing (email, WhatsApp or signed document).
4.2 A 50% deposit is required to confirm an order unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing.
4.3 The remaining balance is due on completion and before collection or delivery.
4.4 Payments must reflect in our account before goods are released.
4.5 By approving the quote, the client accepts full responsibility for:
Artwork supplied
Choices of materials (frames, glass, finishes, mounts)
Measurements
Any instructions or customisations communicated
5.1 Turnaround times vary depending on workload and materials.
5.2 Estimated lead times will be communicated but are not guaranteed.
5.3 Delays caused by suppliers or circumstances beyond our control do not constitute grounds for cancellation or penalty.
6.1 All artwork is handled with professional care and conservation practices where applicable.
6.2 Squared Framing is not liable for damage resulting from:
Pre-existing artwork conditions
Fragile or deteriorated works
Poor-quality prints supplied by clients
Materials chosen against professional recommendations
Transport damage if not carried out by Squared Framing
Environmental conditions once the artwork leaves our premises
6.3 Clients must disclose the nature, condition and value of artworks.
6.4 For high-value items, clients are encouraged to carry their own insurance.
6.5 In the rare event of accidental damage while in our care, liability is limited to the cost of replacement materials or a refund of the framing cost, not the artwork’s intrinsic value.
7.1 A collection or delivery date will be arranged upon completion.
7.2 Items not collected within 60 days may incur storage fees.
7.3 Items not collected within 6 months may be disposed of or resold to recover costs.
7.4 Delivery/installation fees will be quoted separately.
7.5 Risk transfers to the client upon collection or delivery.
8.1 Because most projects are custom-made, orders cannot be cancelled once materials have been purchased or work has begun.
8.2 Deposits are non-refundable once work has started or custom materials have been ordered.
8.3 No refunds on:
Custom framing
Special orders
Bespoke materials
Fine art sourced on the client’s behalf
8.4 If a client wishes to make changes after approval, additional charges will apply.
8.5 Squared Framing complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) where applicable. Custom goods are generally not eligible for refunds unless defective.
9.1 If there is a defect in workmanship, the client must notify us within 7 days of collection/delivery.
9.2 We will assess the defect and, if valid, repair or replace the item at our discretion.
9.3 Damage caused by mishandling, exposure, moisture, environmental factors, or third-party installations is not covered.
10.1 All website content (images, copy, designs, branding) is the property of Squared Framing.
10.2 You may not reproduce, copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute any website content without written permission.
10.3 Unauthorised use may result in civil or criminal prosecution.
11.1 We process personal information in accordance with POPIA.
11.2 Our detailed Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

Any loss or damage arising from their use
Use of third-party sites is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
Total liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service or product.
We are not liable for artwork replacement value, loss of profits, or sentimental value.
You agree to indemnify and hold Squared Framing harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or legal fees arising from:
Your misuse of our website
Your breach of these Terms
Misrepresentation of artwork details
Incorrect measurements or instructions supplied to us
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts or via arbitration/mediation if both parties agree.
We may update or amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website or services implies acceptance.
